Our Story
Mini Mim is a family business with Marian (the Artist Granny), Sandra (the Creative Mom) and Chloé (the Inspirational Baby Girl)!
It all started with Marian painting thousands of illustrations during lockdown and filing them carefully away, not knowing if they’d ever find their way out of their little box homes.
Sandra, who had just had her first baby: "When Marian showed me her collection of designs, I was fascinated by their originality and the endless variety of colourful prints. I started thinking about how could we use them. An idea about creating limited and inspirational ranges for children, that might bring happiness and joy into homes, began to emerge in my mind…”
We have put our commitment and care into the development of each product. For us, quality and beautiful design are both essential. This is why we have collaborated with the best studios in Cape Town, to create aesthetically pleasing products of exceptionally high quality.
We deliberately go slowly and launch one product at a time to stay closely connected to the people who are part of the process. Our goal is to re-establish long lost Cape Town skills and re-invigorate local talent.
